Allergen Alert for Big Al’s Chicken Products

Today (5th December 2017) Big Al’s has confirmed that Mustard and Milk were undeclared on the label of a number of batches (see below) of Big Al’s Chicken products. This may make the products unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of mustard and/or milk and their constituents.

This alert has been issued in conjunction with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).

The incomplete labelling was detected by Big Al’s as part of its routine monitoring and traceability programme.  While there is no evidence that the products have caused any harm to consumers, Big Al’s is notifying all retail customers of this alert and is recalling all unsold products as a precaution.

Customers that have purchased a product from these batches and have concerns about milk and mustard allergens are advised not to consume the product and return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund. Alternatively, customers may contact the customer care number ROI – 1850760067 / UK & NI – 0800760067.
